Last weekend we were invited on a one-night camping trip with some friends. There's a campground just about 30 minutes from our house, so we decided to make an impromptu trip! Can I just say that a short camping trip like that is ideal. You only have to figure out 2 meals, hardly worry about packing clothes, and still get in your fill of summer camping.

Addie's friend, Jane, has a new baby sister that Addie is just enthralled with. She had to help feed the baby, and was talking about it the rest of the day.
A peacock? Yep. There's a peacock farm at the campground, and there were a ton of birds walking around. The kids were obsessed with the albino peacock; it was interesting looking, everything was totally white. The birds apparently don't ever sleep, or at least take turns squawking. They were going all hours of the night, and they are loud let me tell you. You get used to it though, and we slept just fine.
