Thank goodness for jury duty

I know you're all thinking "what?" But this last Tuesday Stuart had to go into jury duty and he got out only after a couple hours! The whole jury pool was contaminated by the person going on trial, and it happened early in the morning, so we got a free family day! We decided to picnic at a park nearby, and here's a few of the pictures.

Then Carter wanted to go "exploring." He and Daddy went walking down by a little stream and found some squirrels.

Carter with his two ones. He had to find the perfect sticks and wouldn't let go of them until we got home. Hunting for sticks is Carter's favorite thing to do whenever we go outside and he won't just settle for any old stick. It has to be a "huge one," and he always has to have one for each hand. At least he's easily pleased!
