We had a really fun activity at church awhile ago: a potato derby! The regular pinewood derby track was set up, and potatoes affixed with wheels were sent hurling, crashing, and rolling down the lanes. There were prizes for fastest potato, most creative name, and most creative looking, so Carter wanted something that would really stand out. He's still into dinosaurs lately, and we went with Potatosaurus - a T-rex, complete with spikes. We got honorable mention in the looks category, and stalled about halfway down the raceway.
